The connectors are usually used in sets that comprise the male (pin connector) end with exposed terminals and female (socket connector) end where the pin is inserted. The connectors come in either straight types that mount perpendicular to the circuit board or right angle types that mount horizontally to the circuit board. Wire termination methods include soldered, crimped, IDC, screw-mount, etc., and are different for each connector.
