A dedicated solid carbide reinforced boring bar for boring deep holes. Features a built-in dampening device which absorbs cutting vibrations originating from the tool in the bit.
The cutting vibration dampening capability of the bit's dampening device significantly improves the dynamic rigidity of the dampened bit. With regular steel boring bits, the length of the protruding section is limited to being 4 times that of the tool diameter, but with this solid-carbide bit that length is extended to approximately 10 times the tool diameter.
The EasyFix sleeve allows for quick and accurate center height adjustment.
For inner-diameter turning (bore cutting) operations with longer protrusions.
For suppressing chattering.
